Welcome to Mournful Peacemakers
Where Faith Meets the Nervous System
Mournful Peacemakers was born out of the tension between faith and trauma—between a God who promises peace, and a brain that only knows survival.
My name is Sarah, and I’m a Christian living with Complex PTSD. For years, I thought my inability to “just trust God” meant I was rebellious, weak, or worse—unsaved. I didn’t know that nervous system dysregulation could masquerade as doubt… That emotional flashbacks could feel like spiritual failure…
That trauma could rewrite my relationship with God.
This Is a Safe Space to:
Share truth without shame
Connect trauma with theology
Explore healing through both scripture and science
Wrestle out loud with faith, fear, grief, and grace
Find Jesus in the rubble
You are not broken. You are becoming.
3 IS 1. Body. Blood. Brain.
💔 Believers who carry both faith and grief
🕊️ Misfits in church, unsure where they belong
🌀 Survivors still sorting through the rubble
🙏 People who love God but don’t feel safe in their own minds
“Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.
Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.”
— Matthew 5:4, 9
Jesus loves YOU - In fact, He can’t help falling in love with you… over and over, again.
